Haw. Code R. § 15-308-105 - Definition of sale or transfer

For purposes of this subchapter, a sale or transfer means when one of the following occurs:

(1) When ownership interest in the dwelling unit is sold or transferred;

(2) When the dwelling unit is no longer used as the owner's primary residence; or

(3) When the dwelling unit or any part of the dwelling unit is rented to someone else, and the owner has not obtained the corporation's determination that hardship circumstances exist, pursuant to section 201H-49, HRS.
