Haw. Code R. § 15-319-64 - Force majeure

The corporation shall not be liable in any way for shortages, deficiencies, or interruptions, adverse impact to the quality, or other aspects of the supply of water due to acts of God, the elements, earthquakes, power failures, interruptions by government or court orders, strikes, lockouts or other industrial disturbances, inability to obtain pipe or other material or equipment or labor, wars, riots, insurrections, epidemics, pandemics, explosions, breakage, or any other cause beyond the corporation's reasonable control; provided, however, that in the event of a repairable mechanical failure, the corporation shall make efforts it deems reasonable to repair the failure wlthin a reasonable period of time.
