Haw. Code R. § 16-114-38 - Application for upgrade
(a) For completed
applications received on or after January 1, 2008, a state licensed or
certified appraiser holding a current and active license or certificate may
apply for upgrade as follows:
(1) For state
certified residential appraiser certification, submittal of:
(A) Appropriate fees;
(B) Proof that the applicant has met the
requirements of section 16-114-20.5;
(C) Proof that the applicant has performed at
least two thousand five hundred hours of appraisal work;
(D) Proof that the applicant has met the
requirements of the Appraisal Qualification Board's current qualifying
education requirements as may be amended provided that only those hours not
obtained by challenge examination may be applied to meet this requirement, and
that continuing education hours credited for renewal shall not be applied to
meet this requirement; and
(E)
Proof of passage of the appropriate examination.
(2) For state certified general appraiser
certification, submittal of:
(A) Appropriate
fees;
(B) Proof that the applicant
has met the requirements of section 16-114-20.5;
(C) Proof that the applicant has performed at
least three thousand hours of appraisal work, of which at least one thousand
five hundred hours were obtained in nonresidential appraisal work;
(D) Proof that the applicant has met the
requirements of the Appraisal Qualification Board's current qualifying
education requirements as amended provided that only those hours not obtained
by challenge examination may be applied to meet this requirement, and that
continuing education hours credited for renewal shall not be applied to meet
this requirement; and
(E) Proof of
passage of the appropriate examination.
