Haw. Code R. § 16-74-336 - Eligibility
No person shall be permitted to take part in an amateur boxing exhibition or contest unless that person:
(1) Is from seven to fourteen years of age,
to be known as junior boxers; or
(2) Is from fifteen to under seventeen years
of age, to be known as teen age boxers; or
(3) Is seventeen years or older, to be known
as senior amateur boxers (proof of age shall be established by birth
certificate or other acceptable documentary evidence); or
(4) Is a registered amateur athlete and has
been granted a permit to box by the commission or its agent; and
(5) Has been in training for a period of at
least thirty days prior to entering the contest if he has had no previous
experience, or for a period of at least fifteen days prior to the contest if he
has had previous experience;
(6)
Has been recently examined by a physician approved by the commission, and
satisfactorily passed the examination; and
(7) Has obtained his parents or guardian's
signed approval and waiver if he is under eighteen years of age.
