Haw. Code R. § 17-1617-15 - Re-determination of difficulty of care level
(a) The department
shall re-determine a child's difficulty of care level in accordance with
departmental procedures:
(1) At least once
every twelve months from the month eligibility for payment was initially
determined; and
(2) When
information is obtained regarding changes in the child's situation.
(b) The re-determination shall
include:
(1) A review of the amount of care
and supervision a child requires based on an assessment of the child's level of
overall functioning;
(2) A review
of a current written recommendation by an appropriately qualified
professional;
(3) A review of the
resource family's or caregiver's ability to provide the level of care and
supervision required by the child; and
(4) A review and determination of the amount
of the difficulty of care payment based on paragraphs (1), (2) and
(3).
