Haw. Code R. § 17-2031-33 - Interim rent adjustment
(a) The authority
may adjust a participant's rent between reexaminations if a participant reports
a change in income.
(b) Adjustments
reflecting a lower rent shall be made effective on the first day of the month
following the month the report was made. A participant who has obtained a
decrease in rent under this section, shall report all income increases which
occur prior to the next reexamination and rent may be readjusted
accordingly.
(c) A rent adjustment
shall be made between reexaminations when a participant's income increases as a
result of the inclusion of additional persons with income to the family, and
such adjustment shall be made effective on the first day of the second month
following the inclusion.
(d) The
participant and owner shall be notified in writing by the authority of the
results of any reexamination within a reasonable time.
