Haw. Code R. § 17-534-60 - Selection of tenant

(a) The authority shall provide a qualified owner with a list of up to five eligible applicants. The list of eligible applicants shall be taken in the order of preference as provided in section 17-534-22.

(b) The owner shall interview the eligible applicants from the list of applicants provided by the authority and may select an eligible applicant from such list to be the tenant for the rental unit. If the eligible applicants are unsatisfactory to the owner, then the owner may request a new list from the authority. The owner shall be provided a maximum of three lists by the authority and shall choose an eligible applicant from such lists.
