Haw. Code R. § 17-663-127 - Verification
(a) The branch shall obtain and verify the
following information from the alien or alien's spouse both at the time of
initial application and at the time of recertification:
(1) The income and resources of the alien's
sponsor and the sponsor's spouse at the time of the alien's application,
recertification, and at the time of the monthly eligibility report for food
stamp assistance, except that resources need only be verified at the time of
the monthly report if questionable;
(2) The names or other identifying factors,
such as an alien registration number, of other aliens for whom the sponsor has
signed an affidavit of support or similar agreement.
(3) The provision of the Immigration and
Nationality Act under which the alien was admitted;
(4) The date of the alien's admission as a
lawful permanent resident as established by USCIS;
(5) The alien's date of birth, place of
birth, and alien registration number;
(6) The number of dependent's who are claimed
or could be claimed as dependents for federal income tax purposes of the
sponsor and the sponsor's spouse; and
(7) The name, address, and phone number of
the alien's sponsor.
(b)
The branch shall verify income information obtained in accordance with section
17-663-126 and this section.
(c)
The branch shall verify all other information which the branch determines is
questionable and which affects household eligibility and benefit level in
accordance with chapter 17-647 for verifying questionable
information.
(d) The branch shall
assist aliens in obtaining verification in accordance with the provisions of
chapter 17-647.
