Haw. Code R. § 17-799-4 - Scope
(a) Child care services shall include, but
are not limited to:
(1) Supervision to assure
the child's safety, comfort, and health;
(2) Personal care as appropriate to the
child's age and developmental maturity;
(3) Activities appropriate to the child's
age, developmental stage, and degree of physical or mental ability;
and
(4) Health and nutritional
services.
(b) Child care
services shall exclude:
(1) Services provided
to a child enrolled in or eligible for public education in kindergarten to
twelfth grade during the regular school day;
(2) Services for which a child receives
academic credit toward graduation;
(3) Any instructional services that supplants
or duplicates the academic program of any public or private school which is
established for the purpose of compliance with the school attendance law of
Hawaii; or
(4) Services that
provide specialized training or skill development to children, as indicated in
HRS §
346-152 (a)
(4).
(c) Child care payments shall only be used
for services described in subsection (a).
