Haw. Code R. § 17-799-5 - Application period

(a) The department shall establish an application period during the calendar year to accept applications for the preschool open doors program for the ensuing State fiscal year.

(b) Prior to the start of an application period, the department shall issue a public notice to the general public announcing the availability to apply for the program. The public notice shall contain:

(1) The beginning and ending dates of the application period;

(2) Information about how to obtain an application; and

(3) Contact information for additional information.

(c) Within thirty days from the end of the application period, applications received by the department shall be processed in accordance with section 17-799-6, and prioritized in accordance with section 17-799-7.

(d) The department shall conduct at least one application period during the calendar year.
