Haw. Code R. § 17-891.2-61 - Handling of diapers and training pants
The provider shall handle disposable and cloth diapers and cloth training underpants in the following manner:
(1) Use a clean non-porous surface for
changing diapers;
(2) Use a space
set aside for diapering that is separate from eating and food preparation
areas;
(3) Soiled disposable
diapers shall be discarded in a covered container. The covered container shall
be kept away from eating, food storage, and food preparation areas and out of
the children's reach.
(4) Soiled
cloth diapers and cloth training underpants, without emptying or rinsing the
contents, shall be placed in a plastic bag and kept away from eating, food
storage, and food preparation areas and out of the children's reach. The soiled
cloth diapers or cloth training underpants shall be given to the child's parent
or guardian.
