Haw. Code R. § 18-251-1-05 - "Tour vehicle", defined
(a) As used in this
chapter, "tour vehicle" means any vehicle which:
(1) Falls into the:
(A) Eight to twenty-five passenger seat
category; or
(B) Over twenty-five
passenger seat category; and
(2) Is used for the purpose of:
(A) Transporting persons for pleasure or
sightseeing trips as defined in section 18-251-1-07; or
(B) Transporting persons to pleasure or
sightseeing cruises or destinations as defined in section 18-251-1-08.
Passenger vans, minibuses, buses, and similar terms may be used to designate a "tour vehicle" in the examples set forth in this chapter.
(b) "Tour vehicle" shall not include:
(1) Any vehicle used solely for the purpose
of transporting individuals to and from a place of work;
(2) Any vehicle used solely for the purpose
of transporting individuals to and from a public or private school;
or
(3) Any vehicle used solely for
the purpose of transporting individuals with disabilities.
