Haw. Code R. § 19-122-314 - Issuance of license or permit after denial
(a) A
person who for reasons pursuant to this chapter was denied a Hawaii driver's
license or instruction or commercial learner's permit may submit to the
examiner of drivers additional documents, evidence, or information to determine
proof of identity and lawful status; or qualify for any of the exceptions for
the issuance of a Hawaii driver's license or instruction permit as set forth
within this chapter.
(b) The
examiner of drivers may consider any or all of the additional documents,
evidence, or information submitted by the applicant and may require other
information deemed relevant to effectively evaluate and determine the
applicant's proof of identity, principal residence, and lawful status; or
qualify for any of the exceptions for the issuance of a Hawaii driver's license
or instruction or commercial learner's permit as set forth within this
chapter.
