Haw. Code R. § 23-604-10 - Computation of time
(a) Except for the
eighteen month period for timely filing of a claim application, in computing
any period of time, which is prescribed or allowed by this subtitle or any
order, the first day shall be excluded and the last included, unless the last
day is a Sunday or official state holiday, and then it shall also be excluded
and the last day shall be the next business day following.
(b) The time for filing an application shall
be calculated as illustrated in the following examples:
