Haw. Code R. § 4-186-12 - Automotive antifreeze coolants and coolants
The following specifications shall apply to automotive antifreeze coolants and automotive coolants:
Automotive antifreeze coolants and automotive coolants shall be of the ethylene-glycol type and shall conform to SAE J1034, as published in SAE handbook, part 1, 2000 edition.
(1) The minimum concentration of
ethylene-glycol permitted in an automotive coolant offered for retail sale in
the State shall be at least ninety percent by volume; and
(2) The label of the container of an
automotive antifreeze coolant and automotive coolant shall disclose the minimum
ethylene-glycol content, as a volume percent of the coolant.
