Haw. Code R. § 4-27-2 - Definitions
As used in this chapter, unless context otherwise requires:
"Brand" means a mark made by burning with a hot iron onto the surface of the livestock's hide to designate ownership;
"Department" means department of agriculture, State of Hawaii;
"Division" means division of animal industry, department of agriculture; and
"Livestock" means domestic animals used or raised on a farm, and does not include dogs and cats.
