Haw. Code R. § 8-33-6 - Waiver of fees
All fees that may be assessed for adult education by the department of education may be waived by the principal for the following categories of students:
(1) Adults
registered with the department of labor and industrial relations who are
unemployed when they enroll in courses which will assist them in securing
employment;
(2) Adults certified by
the department of human services as indigent when they enroll in classes which
will assist them to become self-sustaining; and
(3) Veterans who are entitled to federal
educational assistance upon authorization of the veterans administration. Fees
shall be charged against federal funds in accordance with veterans
administration contract regulations.
