Haw. Code R. § 8-54-28 - At-risk educator preparation programs
(a) A unit will be
designated "at-risk" under the following conditions:
(1) The unit receives continuing
accreditation/approval for less than five (5) years based on their
national/state review; or
(2) The
unit's summary pass rate on content examinations falls below eighty per cent
(80%).
(b) A program
will be designated "at-risk" under the following conditions:
(1) The program fails to correct conditions
of its SPA approval within the timeline specified by the SPA;
(2) The program receives an approval decision
of "Recognition with Probation" on its SPA report;
(3) The program is given areas for
improvement on its board approval and fails to correct the areas within the
timeline specified by the board; or
(4) The program's summary pass rate on
content examinations falls below eighty per cent (80%) for a three (3) year
average, if applicable.
(c) Once a unit or program is designated as
being "at-risk", the board will conduct periodic monitoring throughout the
conditional period.
