Haw. Code R. § 8-62-22 - Continuances or extensions of time
Where these rules specify a deadline upon which action must be taken, the board may, upon motion and the concurrence of a majority of all the members to which the board is entitled, extend the time specified if the delinquency is shown to have been unavoidable and excusable.
