Ill. Admin. Code tit. 35, § 380.210 - Exceptions
a) A wastewater
treatment works is not required to have a Chief Wastewater Operator on its
operational staff if the wastewater treatment works is operated as part of a
public water supply, treats waste generated only by that supply, and has
designated a Responsible Operator in Charge pursuant to the Public Water Supply
Operations Act [ 415 ILCS 45 ].
b)
Collection systems are not required to be under the direct supervision of a
Chief Wastewater Operator.
