Ill. Admin. Code tit. 77, § 2080.211 - Other State Prescription Monitoring Authority Access
a) Other states may request access to the PMP
database:
1) After approval of a Memorandum of
Understanding from the Illinois Department of Human Services; and
2) After approval from the Department's
Bureau of Pharmacy and Clinical Support Systems' manager; the request must be:
A) related to a "probable cause"
investigation; or
B) for a health
care inquiry system for prescribers and dispensers.
b) Each state requesting access
must comply with Illinois law and allow reciprocity.
