Ill. Admin. Code tit. 77, § 830.840 - Service Vehicles
Service vehicles used to transport and/or temporarily store pesticides shall be:
a) Locked at all
times while unattended or not in a locked garage. No pesticide product shall be
left in an accessible manner in an unattended vehicle.
b) Equipped with a restraining device to
prevent pesticide containers from becoming damaged while in transit.
c) Equipped with absorbent material such as
absorptive clay, or similar material, capable of absorbing small spills and
leaks.
d) Equipped with protective
clothing and equipment appropriate for the pesticides stored or transported in
the vehicle.
e) Equipped with a
basic first aid kit which shall include information regarding practical
treatment for pesticide poisonings and emergency medical information including
telephone numbers for poison control centers.
f) Equipped with a pesticide label for each
pesticide transported or temporarily stored in the service vehicle.
g) Equipped with a complete change of
clothing (including shoes) for use in the event that the pesticide applicator's
garments are accidentally contaminated while using a pesticide. Clothing shall
be stored in the vehicle so as to prevent pesticide contamination.
