Ill. Admin. Code tit. 89, § 112.301 - Presumptive Eligibility
a) An
applicant shall be approved for financial assistance on a presumptive
eligibility (PE) basis when the following factors are met:
1) financial eligibility requirements
(Subpart C of this Part) have been met;
2) non-financial eligibility (Subpart B of
this Part) has not been established but verifications have been requested;
and
3) there is no past history of
the client having difficulty getting verification of the non-financial
eligibility requirements (Subpart B of this Part).
b) When assistance is authorized on a PE
basis, eligibility shall continue until all eligibility factors are verified
and a final determination of eligibility or ineligibility is completed. PE
assistance shall only be authorized for a maximum of three payment months. If
the verification is not provided by the end of the three payment months, the
assistance will be terminated.
