Ill. Admin. Code tit. 89, § 140.506 - Provider Voluntary Withdrawal
a)
A long term care facility may voluntarily withdraw from participation in the
Medical Assistance Program by notifying the Department in writing at least 60
days prior to the effective date of the withdrawal.
b) If a long term care facility informs the
Department that it intends to withdraw from the Medical Assistance Program, the
Department shall not pay for the care of new admissions to the facility on or
after the effective date of voluntary withdrawal.
c) The Department shall continue to pay for
the care of individuals who are residing in a facility which voluntarily
withdraws from participation in the Medical Assistance Program provided that:
2) The facility continues to receive
certification surveys and enters into provider agreements.
3) The individual has continuously resided in
the facility since the day before the effective date of the facility's
voluntary withdrawal with the Department.
