Ill. Admin. Code tit. 92, § 1710.40 - Relocating Vehicles From Authorized Spaces
a) No vehicle shall be relocated if it is
parked in a space on private property where it is authorized to be
parked.
b) Relocated vehicles must
be towed directly from the initial point of the tow to the relocator's facility
that is indicated on the relocator's signs posted on the property in
conformance with Section
1710.51.
c) No vehicle owned by a law enforcement
agency, the name of which is clearly marked on the exterior of the vehicle or
on a placard displayed on the dashboard, shall be relocated if it is parked on
private property for a law enforcement purpose.
d) Law enforcement owned vehicles that are
relocated while being utilized in an undercover manner for investigative
purposes shall be released without the assessment of any storage or towing fees
when the relocator is provided written confirmation from the agency's
commanding officer on law enforcement agency letterhead verifying that the
agency's vehicle was on private property in an official capacity.
