Special education personnel shall meet the board of
educational examiners' licensure (certification) and endorsement or recognition
requirements for the position for which they are employed. In addition,
personnel providing special education and related services who do not hold
board of educational examiners' licensure (certification) or other recognition
required by its board, and who, by the nature of their work, are required to
hold a professional or occupational license, certificate or permit in order to
practice or perform the particular duties involved in this state shall be
required to hold a license, certificate, or permit.
