Iowa Admin. Code r. 282-13.6 - International teacher exchange program license
A nonrenewable international exchange program license may be issued to an applicant under the following conditions:
1. The applicant has completed a teacher
education program in another country.
2. The applicant is a participant in a
teacher exchange program administered through the Iowa department of education,
the U.S. Department of Education, or the U.S. Department of State.
3. Each exchange license will be limited to
the area(s) and level(s) of instruction as determined by an analysis of the
application and the credential evaluation report.
4. This license will not exceed one year
unless the applicant can verify continued participation in the exchange
program.

An initial license valid for a minimum of two years with an expiration date of June 30 may be issued to an applicant who meets the general requirements set forth in rule 282-13.5 (272).
