Iowa Admin. Code r. 441-83.63 - Client participation

Persons who are eligible under the 300 percent group must contribute a predetermined client participation amount to the costs of the services.

(1) Computation of client participation. Client participation shall be computed by deducting an amount for the maintenance needs of the individual which is 300 percent of the maximum SSI grant for an individual from the client's total income.

(2) limitation on payment. If the sum of the third-party payment and client participation equals or exceeds the reimbursement for the specific HCBS waiver service, Medicaid will make no payments for the HCBS waiver service. However, Medicaid will make payments to other medical vendors.
