Iowa Admin. Code r. 531-13.2 - Requirements for the sale of tickets
(1) Retailers shall be knowledgeable about
the lottery and lottery products and may be required to take training in the
operation of lottery games. Retailers shall make the purchase of tickets
convenient to the public.
(2)
Tickets shall be sold at the price designated by the lottery. Retailers shall
not sell tickets for a price other than that specified by the
lottery.
(3) No retailer or any
employee or member of a retailer shall attempt to identify a winning ticket
prior to the sale of the ticket.
(4) Retailers shall pay all prizes that the
lottery requires retailers to pay during normal business hours at the location
designated on the license.
(5)
Retailers shall not purchase tickets previously sold by the retailer.
This rule is intended to implement Iowa Code Supplement sections 990.9(3), 99G.30, and 99G.31.
