Iowa Admin. Code r. 641-68.7 - Enforcement
The certified elevated blood lead (EBL) inspector/risk assessor
appointed by the
(1) Penalties
shall be as provided in Iowa Code section 137.21.
(2) Upon failure of any person to correct a
hazard identified through this chapter in the time specified by the certified
elevated blood lead (EBL) inspector/risk assessor appointed by the local board ,
the local board may direct or cause the correction of said hazards. All
expenses incurred thereby may be recovered by suit in the name of the local
board , or the local board may certify the amount of said expenses, together
with a description of the property, to the county treasurer, who shall enter
the same upon the tax books as costs for removing a lead hazard, and said
amounts shall be collected as other taxes.
