Iowa Admin. Code r. 641-8.5 - Priority for program expenditures
(1) In the event the IA CFY program director
determines there are inadequate funds to meet program needs, either
attributable to a reduction in federal funding from the CDC or to a projected
enrollment of individuals in excess of anticipated enrollment, the program
director may restrict new applicants' participation in the IA CFY program as
follows:
a. First priority shall be given to
individuals 50 through 64 years of age.
b. Second priority shall be given to
individuals under 50 years of age who are symptomatic.
c. Third priority shall be given to
individuals 40 through 49 years of age who are asymptomatic.
d. Fourth priority shall be given to
individuals 65 years of age and older who do not have Medicare Part B
coverage.
e. Fifth priority shall
be given to individuals 21 through 39 years of age.
(2) In the event that the financial demand
abates, the program director shall withdraw the financial shortfall
determination, at which time individuals shall be eligible for program services
in accordance with rule
641-8.3 (135).
