Iowa Admin. Code r. 657-36.8 - [Rescinded effective 7/16/2025] Voluntary surrender

A voluntary surrender of a license may be submitted to the board as resolution of a contested case or in lieu of continued compliance with a disciplinary order of the board. A voluntary surrender, when accepted by the board, has the same force and effect as an order of revocation. The voluntary surrender of a license during the pendency of a complaint or investigation shall be considered discipline and shall have the same force and effect as an order of revocation. A request for reinstatement of a license that has been surrendered shall be handled under the terms established by rule 657-35.36 (17A,147,272C).
