Iowa Admin. Code r. 761-615.6 - Suspension of a habitual violator
(1) The
department may suspend a person's license when the person is a habitual
violator of the traffic laws. "Habitual violator" means that the person has
been convicted of three or more moving violations committed within a 12-month
period.
(2) The minimum suspension
periods are as follows unless reduced by a driver's license hearing officer
based on mitigating circumstances:

In this rule, speeding violations specified in Iowa Code section
321.210(2)
"d" and violations under Iowa Code section
321.276 are not included.
