Iowa Code r. 199-26.1 - Scope
(1) This chapter
contains utilities commission procedural rules and filing requirements for
utility rate cases, other rate tariff filings, and rate regulation election of
electric cooperatives. The general contested case procedural rules in
199-Chapter 7 apply to these types of proceedings where the rules in this
chapter do not provide specific guidance.
(2) The provisions of this chapter do not
apply to municipal utilities.
(3)
The provisions of this chapter do not apply to electric utilities with fewer
than 10,000 customers or to electric cooperatives or associations subject to
the provisions of Iowa Code section
476.1A that have not elected to
be rate-regulated by the commission. Electric utilities with fewer than 10,000
customers shall be subject to the same regulatory requirements as electric
cooperatives prescribed in 199-Chapter 27.
(4) The provisions of this chapter do not
apply to natural gas utilities with fewer than 2,000 customers pursuant to Iowa
Code section 476.1C unless a valid petition
is filed with the commission pursuant to Iowa Code section
476.1C(1)
"e"(1).
