Iowa Code r. 481-573.7 - Review of programs or sponsors

The board reserves the right to monitor or review any continuing education program offered to Iowa licensees and registrants. Upon evidence of a failure to meet the requirements of this chapter, the board may deny credit for the purposes of renewal. The board may deny all or any part of the hours granted by the program. A provider that wishes to appeal the board's decision regarding continuing education credit may file an appeal within 30 days of the board's decision. A timely appeal initiates a contested case proceeding. The contested case will be conducted pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 17A and 481-Chapter 506. The written decision issued at the conclusion of a contested case hearing shall be considered final agency action.
