Iowa Code r. 567-106.1 - Compliance
All existing citizen convenience centers and transfer stations shall be inspected and reviewed by the department to ensure compliance with these rules. These rules do not apply to medical waste transfer stations.
(1) If a citizen convenience
center or transfer station existing before July 17, 2002, is not in compliance,
the department shall notify that facility in writing of the specific
deficiencies. The facility shall then submit to the department in writing a
compliance schedule for that facility within 30 days of notification by the
department. The compliance schedule shall not exceed two years from the date of
written notification by the department.
(2) If an existing facility does not achieve
compliance within two years from the date of written notification by the
department, the facility shall close pursuant to
567-106.7 (455B) if it is a
citizen convenience center or
567-106.17 (455B) if it is a
transfer station.
