Iowa Code r. 571-13.13 - Inspection
The department may inspect the location during the term of the permit to ensure that the permitted activities comply with the terms of the permit. The permittee shall grant the department the right to access the permitted activities for purposes of inspecting the permitted activities during the term of the permit. If the permittee denies permission for entry, the department may obtain an order from the Iowa district court for the county in which the permitted activities or the majority of the permitted activities occur, as needed, to enable the department to carry out its inspection duty. The intent of the inspection is to evaluate compliance with permit conditions and the impact to the natural resources and the public's recreational use of the area.
