Kan. Admin. Regs. § 128-2-7 - Physician
(a) Each applicant
seeking a physician's license from the commission shall meet both of the
following requirements, in addition to the requirements specified in subsection
(b) and in K.A.R. 128-2-1:
(1) Hold a current
license to practice either medicine and surgery or osteopathic medicine and
surgery pursuant to the Kansas healing arts act,
K.S.A.
65-2801 et seq. and amendments thereto;
and
(2) provide verification that
the applicant is in good standing with the Kansas state board of healing
arts.
(b) No applicant
shall currently be or, within the five years preceding the date of the
physician's application to the commission for licensure, have been the subject
of disciplinary action by the Kansas state board of healing arts or a
comparable licensing agency in another state.
(c) A physician whose sole purpose is to
conduct physical examinations of applicants shall not be required to be
licensed by the commission. The physician shall be required to hold a current
license to practice either medicine and surgery or osteopathic medicine and
surgery in the state in which the physician conducts each applicant's physical
examination. The physician shall certify that the individual is in good
standing in the state where the physician is licensed to practice either
medicine and surgery or osteopathic medicine and surgery.
