Kan. Admin. Regs. § 28-4-505 - Unsatisfactory specimens

(a) Each unsatisfactory specimen shall be retained by the department. The sending agency or facility shall be notified that the specimen is unsatisfactory. The physician or birth attendant shall be notified that the specimen is unsatisfactory with a request to submit another specimen.
(b) A specimen shall be labeled unsatisfactory if one of the following criteria is met:
(1) Identifying information is missing.
(2) More than 10 days have elapsed since the date of collection.
(3) The specimen is of unacceptable quality or quantity for analysis.
