Kan. Admin. Regs. § 39-1-9 - Speed limits

Vehicles shall not be operated on the Kansas turnpike at a speed greater than that which is reasonable and prudent under the conditions then existing. Where signs are erected indicating a particular speed, all vehicles within the area or zone or sections where these signs are erected shall not at any time be operated in excess of the speed indicated by these signs. No vehicle shall be operated on the Kansas turnpike at a speed less than 40 miles per hour, except when necessary to do so because of inclement weather or other hazards existing upon the turnpike.
