Kan. Admin. Regs. § 44-4-102 - Equivalent training or substitutions for training
(a) Requests for
waiver of all or part of the basic training requirements for corrections
officers and parole officers, as provided for in
K.S.A. 75-5212(c), shall be
reviewed and approved by the director.
(b) Such requests shall be made in the form
and manner prescribed in the department of corrections' internal management
policies and procedures.
(c)
Non-waivable requirements. The following training requirements shall not be
waived: firearms, use of force, secretary of corrections' regulations, and
department of corrections' internal management policies and procedures.
