Kan. Admin. Regs. § 60-3-108 - License expiration and renewal
(a) Except as
specified in subsection (b), all licenses for registered professional nurses
and licensed practical nurses shall be renewed according to the following
requirements:
(1) The expiration date of each
license shall be the last day of the month in which the licensee's birthday
occurs.
(2)
(A) The renewal date for each licensee whose
year of birth is an odd-numbered year shall be in each odd-numbered year.
(B) The renewal date for each
licensee whose year of birth is an even-numbered year shall be in each
even-numbered year.
(b) If a licensee would otherwise be required
to renew the license within six months from the date on which the licensee
qualified for the license, the expiration and renewal date shall be the last
day of the month following the licensee's third birthday from the date of
licensure or reinstatement.
