Kan. Admin. Regs. § 82-5-16 - General conditions
The space between or beside such tracks as is ordinarily used
by train and yard personnel and other employees in the discharge of their
duties shall be kept clear of air and water pipes, grass, weeds, and other
foreign obstacles which might interfere with the work of the employees or
subject the employees to unnecessary hazard. Such space between or beside the
tracks and between the rails of the track must be kept in such condition as to
permit the employees to pass over or between the tracks or to use the same
