Kan. Admin. Regs. § 91-26-3 - Reimbursement
(a)
Rates. Boards shall claim reimbursement only for meals and
milk, if applicable, served to students enrolled in participating attendance
centers at the rate or rates assigned to them in their agreement or such rates
as may be subsequently assigned by the state board or United States department
of agriculture. Reimbursable meals shall be those which meet the nutritional
standards set by the United States department of agriculture.
(b)
Reports and claims; dates for
filing. Reports and claims shall be made to the state board upon forms
provided by the state board. The reports and claims shall be filed on or before
the fifth day of each month or as otherwise specified by the state board.
Claims received after the tenth of the month shall be processed for payment in
the month following.
(c)
Disallowance. Payment for claims which are not received during
the calendar month immediately following the period being reported may be
disallowed.
(d)
Verification. All claims for reimbursement shall be verified
by the authorized representative to the best of his or her knowledge and belief
that the claim is true and correct in all respects, consistent with reports and
records on file with the state board, is in accordance with the terms of the
existing agreement(s) and payment has not been received.
