Kan. Admin. Regs. § 91-40-50 - Parental access to student records; confidentiality
(a) As used in this
regulation, the following terms shall have the meanings specified in this
subsection:
(1) "Destruction" means
physically destroying the medium on which information is recorded or removing
all personal identifiers from the information so that no one can be identified.
(2) "Education records" means any
document or medium on which information directly related to one or more
students is maintained by a participating agency in accordance with
K.S.A. 72-6214 and amendments thereto.
(3) "Participating agency" means any
educational agency or institution that collects, maintains, or uses personally
identifiable student information to provide special education and related
services to children with disabilities.
