Kan. Admin. Regs. § 92-22-8 - Proof of disability

(a) Disability may be proved by filing a certified statement of a physician licensed to practice in the state of Kansas. In lieu of the statement, the claimant may file a copy of a social security or other employer's certificate of disability showing that the claimant is receiving benefits based upon a total and permanent disability which prevented the claimant from engaging in any substantial gainful activity during the entire calendar year preceding the year in which the claim is filed for refund.
(b) A statement signed by a physician licensed to practice in the state of Kansas indicating central visual acuity of 20/200 or less in the better eye with the use of correcting lens or a limitation in the fields of vision such that the widest diameter of the visual field subtends an angle no greater than 20 degrees shall constitute medical proof establishing blindness.
