Kan. Admin. Regs. § 92-22-8 - Proof of disability
(a) Disability may
be proved by filing a certified statement of a physician licensed to practice
in the state of Kansas. In lieu of the statement, the claimant may file a copy
of a social security or other employer's certificate of disability showing that
the claimant is receiving benefits based upon a total and permanent disability
which prevented the claimant from engaging in any substantial gainful activity
during the entire calendar year preceding the year in which the claim is filed
for refund.
(b) A statement signed
by a physician licensed to practice in the state of Kansas indicating central
visual acuity of 20/200 or less in the better eye with the use of correcting
lens or a limitation in the fields of vision such that the widest diameter of
the visual field subtends an angle no greater than 20 degrees shall constitute
medical proof establishing blindness.
