02-658 C.M.R. ch. 8, § 14 - Used Underground Oil Tanks
Used underground oil storage tanks are prohibited from use for aboveground storage of oil unless:
8.14.1 Such use has been approved by the
Maine State Fire Marshal; or
8.14.2
A Maine licensed professional engineer, or other person meeting the
requirements of the statutes and rules governing professional engineers
practicing in Maine, certifies that the tank meets all applicable
specifications and requirements of UL #142 as referenced in NFPA 31.
