16- 163 C.M.R. ch. 4, § 10 - Service Availability for Response for Scene Response & Transfer Air Ambulance Services
1. An air ambulance
service must provide prompt notification to the requesting agency of the air
ambulance's estimated time of arrival to the scene of a medical emergency or
interfacility transfer pick-up location. Changes in estimated time of arrival
will be immediately communicated to the requesting agency by the air ambulance
service.
2. Failure of a service
to comply with these response requirements will be reviewed by Maine EMS to
determine if corrective action is required. Maine EMS shall notify the service
of any required corrective action and shall set a reasonable amount of time for
the service to carry out this action.
