95- 648 C.M.R. ch. 312, § 3 - DEFINITIONS
A. Commission. "Commission" means the Maine
Public Utilities Commission.
B.
Customer. "Customer" means any person or entity receiving transmission and
distribution service from a transmission and distribution utility.
C. Transmission and Distribution Utility.
"Transmission and distribution utility" means a person, its lessees, trustees,
receivers or trustees appointed by a court, owning, controlling, operating or
managing a transmission and distribution plant for compensation within the
State.
D. Renewable Resource.
"Renewable resource" means an electric generation facility that uses a fuel or
technology as specified in 35-A M.R.S.A. §3210(2)(C)(2).
E. Renewable Resource Research and
Development Fund. "Renewable resource research and development fund" means the
fund established pursuant to this Chapter to which retail consumers of
electricity may make voluntary contributions to support renewable resource
research and development and demonstration community projects using renewable
energy technologies.
