Mich. Admin. Code R. 125.1009 - Failure to appear
Rule 9.
(1) If a
party fails to appear for a hearing or pre-hearing conference after proper
notice, that hearing or pre-hearing conference may proceed in the absence of a
party. If the applicant or the applicant's representative fails to appear, the
presiding officer shall prepare an order dismissing the exception request and
shall recommend to the board that the request for exception be
denied.
(2) The presiding officer,
upon a request filed within 10 days after the scheduled hearing date and upon a
showing of good cause, may excuse the failure to appear. If the failure to
appear is excused, the hearing shall be rescheduled.
